Thailand Dirt Bike Adventure Tour - 13 Days.A two-week dirt bike adventure in the Golden Triangle area of Northern Thailand. The mountainous north of Thailand is a dirt bikers dream - steep climbs and descents with rocky trails through river beds, this trip takes adventure to a new level!

Day 1 - Arrival in Chieng Mai
Arrival in Chiang Mai the cultural center of Thailand’s rugged north. The team will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel and then we’ll spend the evening sampling the local cuisine and vibrant nightlife that Chiang Mai has to offer.

Day 2 - Acclimatisation Day: Chiang Mai
The entire day is yours to spend as you wish in and around Chiang Mai. Sometimes called the Rose of the North, Chiang Mai is on TripAdvisor’s list of "25 Best Destinations in Asia". So you won’t find yourself short of things to do whether it be culture, adventure, sightseeing, or just relaxing, Chiang Mai has it all in abundance. Tonight we'll dine in one of the best restaurants in town.

Day 3 - Chiang Mai to Mae Chaem
Just 10km from Chiang Mai we head straight into the jungle on some awesome single-track trails. It’s technical from the outset with steep climbs and descents winding our way through the trees of Doi Inthanon national park culminating in an exciting run along a river bed in the middle of the forest.

Day 4 - Mae Chaem to Mae Sariang
The climb out of Mae Chaem gives some stunning views of the hills and valleys that we will be riding today. We will ride to the remote villages of the Mien and Karen hill tribes along single-track trails only accessible to dirt bikes.

Day 5 - Mae Sariang Loop
Today is one of those riding days that you will be reminiscing about for years to come! The ride into Salawin national park is amazing enough but it only gets better when we drop into the valley below us – over 40 river crossings await us as we wind our way to the river Salawin that forms the border with Burma. After a dip in the river to cool off we’ll resupply in a remote Karen hill tribe village and make our way back to Mae Sariang.

Day 6 - Mae Sariang to Mae Hong Son
This morning we’ll jump on to the famous Mae Hong Son loop for a quick blast along twisty pristine tarmac before heading off onto the dirt for some amazing remote single track riding. With plenty of river crossings to contend with this route requires teamwork and a sense of adventure to get you through the day! We’ll arrive in the pretty lakeside town of Mae Hong Son in time for a sunset beer around the pool.

Day 7 - Rest Day: Mae Hong Son
Kick back and relax by the pool or take advantage of activities on offer in and around Mae Hong Son – a boat trip to the long-necked Karen hill tribe is a must or there is elephant trekking on offer in the area too. We’ll visit a bar overlooking Mae Hong Son to enjoy the sunset and reflect on the trip so far.

Day 8 - Mae Hong Son to Pai
A relatively easy day but with a few twists thrown in! We’ll arrive in the chilled-out town of Pai with plenty of time for you to explore the town. A favorite with backpackers and hippies alike, there is plenty to see and do.

Day 9 – Pai to Wiang Haeng
Today we will take you to the border of the Shan state-controlled area of Burma. Plenty of singletrack trails lead us to the border and on our way to Wiang Haeng we will stop for a photoshoot at a crashed Huey helicopter in the middle of the jungle.

Day 10 – Wiang Haeng to Chiang Dao
An easy start to the day is soon forgotten if you take the optional hill climb route! One of the toughest sections of the entire trip begins with a steep rutted climb to the top of a mountain. With barely time to catch your breath, we will begin the even steeper and at most times scary descent on the other side! To sort the men from the boys after lunch there is a further option of a technical single track section or you can choose the easy route to the hotel and enjoy a dip in the pool watching the sun go down with a beautiful mountain backdrop.

Day 11 - Chiang Dao to Chiang Mai
Our final day of riding starts with a short blast down the highway before we head off into the jungle of Doi Suthep national park. This ride will blow your mind! A little-used trail (so little used that we had to clear three fallen trees to complete it on the recce!) winds its way clinging to the hillside and then drops us into a river bed before a rocky climb sees us reach the outskirts of civilization again! A visit to the Doi Suthep temple on the way home and then a blast through the twisties back into Chiang Mai.

Day 12 – Rest day Chiang Mai
Following the end of a tour party night, you have a day to yourselves – chill out by the pool, enjoy a well-earned massage or do some last-minute souvenir shopping.

Day 13 – Depart Chieng Mai

Breakfast and transfer to airport for departure. End The Tour
