Rajasthan Short Experience Cycling Tour - 8 Days -We begin the trip in Udaipur, which is called the ‘Venice of the East' for its many lakes. Cycling through it is just pure fun. As the tour progresses, you will pass through picturesque landscapes at the foothills of the Aravalli mountain range (which - believe it or not - is older than the Himalayas). Along the way, you will visit ancient forts and temples. You may chance upon some wildlife like camels, blackbucks, or deer. You will stop by a village of camel herders where women wear distinctive black headscarves and heavy brass earrings. You will enjoy an overnight at a palace that used to be the hunting lodge of maharajas. Now, that palace is a hotel surrounded by a calm lake.

Day 1: Udaipur Arriva;  (By flight - L, D Meals)

Our Guide and driver will meet you at the train station or airport and escort you to the hotel. you may go for a half-day sightseeing tour of Udaipur and have your lunch at a city restaurant. Come back to the hotel around the afternoon straighten your back check your bikes and gear and proceed for 10 KMS of cycling around the Udaipur lakes so that guide can prepare your bikes according to your need for the tour. we will have our dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Udaipur (All meals)

After breakfast, We will start our cycling from the hotel, first 3-4kms will be in the city traffic so we have to be careful and if you don't feel like riding on city road then we load our bikes and drive for 3-4kms and will start to leave the city traffic and will start cycling at the outskirts of Udaipur, the cycling tour of Udaipur takes you to a land of regal history boasting a magnificent culture and grandeur past, en-route we will pass few small villages and schools. We will have our packed lunches on the bank of the Lake and after lunch, we will be back to our hotel on our bikes. The overnight stay will be in Udaipur. Poetically christened the "Venice of The East", it is also nicknamed the "Lake City" or "City of Lakes". In the evening we will have our dinner at Ambrai restaurant which is one of the most famous and best-located restaurants in the Rajasthan. After dinner back to the hotel and Overnight sleep at the hotel.

Day 3: Udaipur - Kumbhalgarh (All meals)

After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and drive for approx. 60kms to reach the countryside to avoid Highway and traffic and then we will start our cycling towards Kumbhalgarh. We will pass through a picturesque. We will have our lunch at midway. We will reach Kumbhalgarh around the evening and we will check in at one of the best hotels in Rajasthan, You may visit Kumbhalgarh fort in the evening if time allows or you may visit the next day morning. Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar fortress. Built during the 15th century by Rana Kumbha enlarged through the 19th century. The walls of the fort of Kumbhalgarh extend over 38 km and are claimed to be the second-longest continuous wall after the Great Wall of China.

Note: The last 5-7kms is very uphill cycling so we prefer to load our bikes into the car and drive to the hotel but if someone is a cycling buff then we don't stop.

Day 4: Kumbhalgarh - Ranakpur(Hotel to Hotel Cycling - All Meals)

After breakfast, we start cycling from Kumbhlagarh hotel to Ranakpur hotel, en-route visit the famous Ranakpur Temple. Ranakpur is widely known for its marble Jain temple, said to be the most spectacular of the Jain temples. It is dedicated to Rishabha, also known as Adinatha, who is the traditional founder of Jainism. We will have lunch midway. Overnight stay and dinner will be in Ranakpur.

Day 5: Ranakpur - Jojawar (Hotel to hotel Cycling All Meals)

Today after breakfast We will start our cycling from Ranakpur hotel to Jojawar through Desuri. This is a very interesting landscape, with the picturesque Aravali Hills in the east, and broken rocky hills interspersed with farms and scrub forests all around. The camel, cattle & sheepherders - The Rebaris are an ethnic group only to be found around south Rajasthan and you will cycle to their hamlets, where you feel like a part of the bygone era. Dinner & overnight at The Hotel.

Day 6: Jojawar - Sardar Samand lake (Hotel to hotel Cycling All Meals)

Today we start our cycling tour to Sardar Samand Lake. We pass through the beautiful landscape, en route perhaps we also view some wildlife like camels, blackbucks, and deer. The path is very easy so we can also enjoy the beauty of nature. Arrive at Sardar Samand Lake Palace, situated in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the Lake. Previously Sardar Samand Lake Palace is a Hunting Lodge of the Maharaja. Now it is converted into a hotel. The rest of the time is free for leisure at the hotel. (Approx 60KMS of cycling)

Day 7: Sardar Samand - Jodhpur (All meals)

After breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and we will do cycling of another 50-60kms towards Jodhpur, en route we will visit small villages, schools, and the beautiful countryside of Rajasthan. We will do cycling till we will reach the Jodhpur Highway, we will load our bikes on a car/bus and we will drive for 10KMS to the Jodhpur hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at one of the best-located hotels of Jodhpur at the center of Jodhpur, you can witness the mighty Mehrangarh fort and the old city from the beautiful rooftop restaurant.

Bikes: Trek Bikes

Bike Hire: Includes on Tour Cost. You may bring your bikes, but in this case, let us know in advance. Other equipment provided: Pedals, helmet, water bottles.

Accommodation

Accommodation is offered at all locations. Most of the hotels are Culture Resort, Eco Resorts & family-run hotels - all with a common line of quality in service. Our costs are based on a 'twin-sharing' foundation. For those who want a single room, we offer a single room, but at an extra cost.

Terrain

The landscape is flatland, with village streets except on Day 2 and Day3 which is a hilly region.

Mostly dry depends on which month of the year you are traveling.

Transportation/Support Vehicles

All transport is involved in the cost. We provide a backup vehicle at all times during cycling trips. The vehicle can be used to boat your baggage & yourself as required.

Food

Food is a very essential part of these trips. We make sure that the meals we offer are method delicious unless you ask for dull meals. You are also permitted the choice of veggie or non-vegetarian meals. We suggest that you consume only the canned standard water. Please make sure that the container is enclosed.

Health

Malaria is an avoidable disease that can create trouble if neglected. One can prevent disease by taking recommended anti-malarial drugs and defending against insect attacks. The areas you will be passing are Malaria-free. Make sure that your insurance provider includes illnesses and injuries overseas.

Precautions

  • Bring all the important medications and OTC medications. Do not ignore to have the brands as well as the general titles of the medications one needs to have.
  • Use a sun hat when revealed.
  • Consume a lot of liquids. Don't drink tap water. Use only bottled water which is always kept in the back of your automobile.
  • Bring your medical kit and pest resilience.
  • To avoid fungus and parasitic attacks, keep legs clean and dry, and do not go without shoes.
  • Do not eat food bought from road providers.
  • Do not drink drinks with ice.
  • Do not eat milk products unless it is known that they have been pasteurized.
  • Prevent managing creatures (especially apes, pets, and cats) to avoid attacks and serious illnesses.
