Day 1: Delhi Arriva

On arrival at Delhi airport/railway station, our representative will meet you to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi Tour ( B, L )

After breakfast, you will be taken for an Old Delhi & New Delhi tour that will include Humayuns Tomb, the first garden tomb in India, and Qutub Minar- the tallest brick tower in the world, India gate- a war memorial, Jama Mosque-the largest mosque in India, Red fort- a prominent structure of Mughal era and a Rickshaw ride through the long and narrow alleys of Old Delhi

Day 3: Delhi- Agra ( B, L )

 

After breakfast this morning, you will be driven 4.5 hours to Agra. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon You will be taken for the sightseeing which includes the Red fort- a prominent structure of the Mughal era and Itmad-ud-doula also known as Baby Taj.

Day 4: Agra - Jaipur ( B, L )

At sunrise, you will visit the Taj Mahal – a Marble tomb created by a king for her wife as a symbol of immortal love. It is said that the beauty of this tomb gets increased when the early sun rays touch its white marble. After breakfast, you will drive to the pink city of Jaipur, en-route you will visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, a red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. On arrival check into your hotel.

Day 5: Jaipur Tour ( B, L )

After breakfast, you will be taken for Jaipur sightseeing which includes Amber Fort- one of the finest examples of Hindu architecture. Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) – through which the queens of the court once viewed streets of the city, City Palace- which houses collections of the armory, rare manuscripts, costumes, carpets, and miniature paintings belonging to royalties and Jantar Mantar- an Astronomical Observatory built-in 1726.

Day 6: Jaipur - Mumbai ( B, L )

Today morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival, you will be received and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken for a Heritage walking tour of Mumbai – visiting British Raj buildings, Dabbawallas at Churchgate station, Dhobi Ghat, the beautiful Jain temple, and Mani Bhavan – Gandhi Museum.

Day 7: Mumbai Tour ( B, L )

Morning proceeds for an excursion to the Elephanta Caves which have beautifully sculpted rock-cut temples and are said to build around 450 AD. In the afternoon – proceed on a sightseeing tour of Mumbai, including a visit to the Gateway of India- the most enduring symbol of the city, The Prince of Wales Museum – one of the biggest museums in the country.

Day 8: Mumbai - Cochin ( B, L )

Today morning, you will be transferred to Mumbai airport for your flight to Cochin. Upon arrival, you will be received and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy the Kathakali dance performance – a ritualized dance form native to Kerala.

Day 9: Cochin - Munnar ( B, L )

Today morning you will proceed for a walking tour of the historic Fort Cochin, visiting the Chinese Fishing nets, the St. Francis Church – the first European church in India. (Vasco Da Gama was buried in the church in 1524).Walkthrough the quaint lanes lined with art galleries and cafes and past charming Portuguese and British merchant houses. After the tour, you will be driven to Munnar, which is one of the most popular hill stations in south India. On arrival check in to your hotel.

Day 10: Munnar Tour ( B, L )

Today you will be taken for Top Station Trek, which will take you through Yellapetty Estate through the Kanan Devan Hills, tea plantations, and villages, Madupatty, Echo-Point, and Kundala Dam. The trek provides some breathtaking views of the tea-covered hills. The length of the walk can be adjusted according to fitness levels.

Day 11: Munnar - Madurai ( B , L )

After breakfast, you will be driven to Madurai. Later in the evening, you will take to visit the Meenakshi Temple to witness the “going to bed ceremony”.

Day 12: Madurai Tour ( B, L )

This morning enjoy the city tour of Madurai visiting the Flower Market, rickshaw ride, Meenakshi temple in daylight, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, and Teppakulam. The entire city of Madurai is built around the Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple which is also a very popular temple in India. It is believed to have taken over 100 years to complete the temple. It is believed that over 30 million pieces of sculpture and stucco images adorn the 14-acre temple complex. Temple is huge and inside the walls, it is a labyrinth of chambers, corridors, halls, temples, shrines, etc.

Day 13: Madurai - Thekkady ( B, L )

After breakfast, you will be driven to Thekkady. Upon arrival check-In to the hotel. Later you will be taken for a spice plantation tour. Kerala is one of the major producers of spices in India and it's always a good experience to visit one. Also, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Periyar which is one of the best ways to visit and witness the wildlife of Periyar reserve.

Day 14: Thekkady -  Alleppey ( B , L )

Later you will be driven to Alleppey where you will board your houseboat. These traditional rice-boat “Kettuvallam” are a fascinating way to see the daily life of the local people living on small strips of the backwaters. It's a very fine experience and Kerala tours are incomplete without the backwaters.

Day 15: Alleppey -to Cochi-  Departure ( B )

Your India tour ends here. This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home
