Day 2: Yen Bai cycle to Sapa

After breakfast. A demanding, hilly, day along the mountain and river range culminating with the ascent of the spectacular, visiting the Vietnam & China border gate if time permitting.  Stay 2 nights.

Day 3: Sapa Cycling to Village

Start from your hotel at 8 Am, bike to explore Sa Pa an old French hill station, in a spectacular location close to the Chinese border. This morning we will cycle downhill to Village, Lao Chai, and Ta Van village ( Red Dzao and Hmong people ) . car pick you back from Sapa, lunch, and dinner by yourself.

Day 4 : Sapa Cycle to Lai Chau

Retrace our route back over the Tram Ton pass to Binh Lu junction and follow the road 4D northwest to Tam Duong today cycle to the scenic hill station of Sapa and ride the amazing mountain trails around Fansipan, Indochina’s highest peak, before riding over a 2 km high mountain pass, the first of many. This tour goes to a part of Vietnam where few foreigners ever venture and you’ll be amazed at the colorful clothing of the many ethnic tribes as you ride through valleys and river gorges to Lai Chau.

Day 5: Lai Chau Cycle to Muong Lay ( Old Lai Chau )

Cycle to old Lai Chau via the Hang Tom suspension bridge, following the Nam Na through spectacular gorges and Black Dao villages.  A long day with some climbs.  Stay 1 night. Hoang Long Hotel,

Day 6 : Muong Lay Cycle to Dien Bien Phu

Our full day in Vietnam. Cycle to Dien Bien Phu – 104 kms.  Dien Bien Phu was the scene of the historic French defeat in 1954.  you’ll be amazed at the colorful clothing of the many ethnic tribes as you ride through valleys and river gorges to Dien Bien Phu. Here we’ll visit battlefields and learn how Ho Chi Minh defeated the colonial French.

Day 7: Dien Bien Phu Cycle to Son La

Cycle to Son La 150 km, along with the mountain and river range culminating with the ascent of the spectacular, visiting the Son La prison. O / N in Son La.

Day 8:Son La – Mai Chau

Day 9: Mai Chau – Hanoi
