Sapa Cycling To Dien Bien Phu - Sa Pa District is located in Lao Cai Province, north-west Vietnam, and 350 km north-west of Hanoi, close to the border with China. The Hoang Lien Son range of mountains dominates the district, which is at the eastern extremity of the Himalayas. This range includes Vietnam’s highest mountain, Fan Si Pan, at a height of 3142m above sea level. The town of Sa Pa lies at an altitude of about 1600 m. The climate is moderate and rainy in summer (May-August), and foggy and cold with occasional snowfalls in winter…

Day 1: Arrive at Ha Noi – Overnight train to Lao Cai.
Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Our van driver picks you to the train station for catching a train at 9:30 pm to Lao Cai. Overnight on travel train. ( 4 persons / A/C Cabin ).

Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van Valley
Arrive in Lao Cai in the early morning, transfer to Sapa for breakfast, short rest, and time to fit bike before riding into the Sapa Valley. We cycle to visit the Hmong people villages & Giaz People in Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. Lunch in the villages.Before riding back to Sapa town.Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – Ta Phin Loop ride full day
Breakfast at your hotel. Cycle off-road track to the village of Ta Phin, when the ride will be more challenging in a loop across steep and forested hillsides and minority villages. Lunch at the local restaurant. Cycle uphill back to Sapa.
Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Tam Duong (Phong Tho) – New Lai Chau
Cycle shortly uphill as a warm-up to the Tram Ton Pass, before starting a long descent ride  downhill to Binh Lu
Ride a truly off-the-beaten-track (jeep-track) mixed of hard-pack gravel and clay to Tam Duong and Lai Chau. Overnight in Lai Chau city.

Day 5: Lai Chau –  Muong Lay 
Buffet breakfast and Take a brutal ride this day to Old Lai Chau and get a reward of truly spectacular views.
The ride is on the main road, uphill and tarmac downhill, mixed of gravel and hard pack clay. Visit some minority people on the way. Overnight in Muong Lay.

Day 6: Muong Lay –  Dien Bien Phu
Take the hardest but most challenging ride this day to  Dien Bien Phu, on a rough tarmac terrain all the way, but you will be rewarded with the stunningly beautiful scenery and untouched remote villages. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.
