Vientiane, Luang Prabang to 4000 Islands Tour - the most interesting Laos tours, cover all Cultural World Heritages and natural sights including mysterious Luang Prabang and ancient Khmer arts at ruin Wa Phou as well as breathtaking views of Northern Laos countryside.

Day 1: Arrival- Luang Prabang City Tour

On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hill tribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang,

Day 2: Luang Prabang City Tour - Pak Ou Caves (B )

After breakfast, we visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign. Continue to explore some of the major sights in this fabulous city, including the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, its exterior architecture is remarkable with decorated gilded stuccoes and doorways, a tree of life mosaic pattern set in colored glass on the back wall and its three-tiered roofs sweeping low to the ground representing classical Laotian architecture. ,    Afternoon we then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explores the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.  Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong, a village well known for its silk weavings and its Saa (jute) Papermaking, and Ban Phanom, a small village known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang.,   

Day 3: Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall (B )   

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession. ,    From there you will visit the morning Phosi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea, and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables, and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails. We return to the city by late afternoon to observe the sunset at Wat Phabath. ,   

Day : 4 Luang Prabang  Fly  To Vientiane ( B )

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, you will be checked into your hotel and following lunch, Your half-day city tour enables us to see the major temples of Vientiane including the oldest, Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We also visit Lao national icon, That Luang Stupa, and we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph. Overnight in Vientiane. 

Day 5: Vientiane Half-Day City Tour Buddha Park (B )

After breakfast, we continue visiting the rest of Vientiane on foot, including Wat Ong Tue, Wat Inpeng, and Wat Haisok. We pass by the major shopping area continuing to the Vientiane Central Market of Talad Sao and Talad Kouadin where various goods are displayed for sale; including fresh food, household goods, souvenirs, textiles, and gold, silver, and antiques. In the afternoon, we continue our sightseeing tour of Vientiane's surroundings; visit the impressive Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge and the Buddha Park, a display of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures created by mystical monks on parkland located by the Mekong River. A view of the Atacular sunset over the Mekong River is the perfect way to finish the day. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 6: Vientiane Fly To Pakse Wat Phou- 4000 Island (Morning Flight) (B )

You will be transferred to the airport early this morning for your flight to Pakse. On your arrival in Pakse, meet your guide then leave Pakse and transfer to Champasak District, visit the ruins of Wat Phou Temple Complex, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. We have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Wat Phu is one of the Lao World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 2001, this wonderful archeological site of Khmer civilization dates back to the 9th century, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. A festival of this site is held yearly during the full moon in February and attracts numerous pilgrims from all over southern Laos. Then continue your way to the 4000 Islands Region and Khong Island, which is quite relaxing during the day while pretty at night. The rest of the day is in your hands. Being lazy on the beautiful beach might be a good choice. Overnight in Khong Island.

Day 7: Si Phan Don - (4000 Islands) Surrounding (B )

Following breakfast, we enjoy a visit to the surrounding countryside, and embark on a long-tail boat tour to Don Khone, where we disembark and have the option of exploring the island by bicycle, which takes you to visit the remains of the French period and Liphi Waterfall or "the Corridor of the Devil". We return to the mainland at the fishing village of Ban Nakasang and drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng. Khone Phapheng is considered the largest waterfall by volume in South East Asia; this is a really impressive site near the Lao-Cambodian border, set within an area that is teeming with wildlife, making this area one of the most breathtaking destinations in Laos. We also have the option of taking a local boat out to search for the rare freshwater dolphins that reside in this area of the Mekong (if lucky, we can see the dolphins).  Then we drive back to Khong Island for your overnight stay. Overnight in Khong Island,   

Day 8: Si Phan Don - Pakse Departure (B ) 

Breakfast at the hotel. You will have free time till our guide meets you and escorts you back to Pakse airport for your international flight ongoing to the next destination.,    Please note: Standard check-out time is noon.
