Day 2: Luang Prabang Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a cultural excursion of the city's oldest temple, Wat Sene, and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, the largest and most splendid one. Afterward, board a cruiser upstream in the Mekong River, get a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside, and explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, which are crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Later, take a stopover at the small village of Ban Xang Hai, where the local rice wine is distilled. On your way back to Luang Prabang, take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a small village well known for its hand weaving. In the afternoon, it's an easy city tour to the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Last, tour the Royal Palace Museum.
Day 3: Luang Prabang Sightseeing
If you like, observe the morning alms giving ritual in the early morning, and then have a short visit to the Morning Market. Your guided tour for the afternoon starts with some local villages of Lao minority groups at Ban Ouray Village. After that, head to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can splash around in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails. Later, continue to Ban Xang Khong Village. Return to the city by late evening to catch the sunset at Wat Phabath.
Day 4 : Luang Prabang, Departure
Enjoy your leisure time before being escorted to the airport for your departure flight.
